We're Getting Pretty Close

 Laffee Taffee's temperature came down today. Dogs usually run just above one hundred degrees but this gets depressed as a female nears whelping. Taffee was at ninety-eight degrees this morning. Of course there is no guarantee that pups will show up at any point, but this temperature drop is what we are looking for and we are ready get this thing started. 

We have been building the new Farmhouse for a little over a year now and it has come to the point where we can begin using some of the rooms. So we moved the washer and drier out of the tiny home and this opened up plenty of room for a litter of pups. After the new house is finished, and we are moved in, this room will become part of the new Kennel where grooming and whelping will happen routinely. 

This is the same room we used with Taffee's last litter and had built a back porch onto the place to get some space. But the back porch really wasn't much help, so keeping them all in the one room will work better all the way around.  We padded the floor and put a new blue tarp down to help keep things a bit cleaner. A warm and clean place is really all we need right now.
