Lorna Doone is a very pretty, but only good quality, example of a female Bassett Hound. Her structure, a bit light. Her skin, a bit tight and covered in asymmetrical, slightly wirey fur. She stands with a flat back. Her head is not well domed, her ears merely good, and face a bit less wrinkled than most others.
What she lacks in evaluation points she more than makes up for in personality and desire to please. She should not be bred. She only received two and one half points against the five AKC points we evaluate, but one half beauty points makes Lorna Doone a very nice pet quality family friend.
